2nd Place at KDL Film Festival

Hey all!

Well, second is better than nothing...it would've been nice to win (I'm a rather competitive person), but the judges gave me some wonderful feedback (they loved it!).  The good news is that there's still the Kalamazoo Teen Filmmaker Festival (as well as others further off), and I think that I have a pretty decent shot there.

Speaking of the film, I've finally posted it on YouTube!  Feel free to watch it and leave a comment!

Film Festivals!

Hey everyone, I have some exciting news!

I've finished the 10 minute version of my ArtPrize documentary, The ArtPrize Effect, and submitted it to over a half-dozen film festivals.  So far it's been accepted into two festivals here in West Michigan.  Here are the screening dates and locations.  Be sure to come to one if you can!

KDL Teen Film Festival, Grand Rapids, MI

KPL Teen Filmmaker Festival, Kalamazoo, MI

Both of these film festivals are free and open to the public.  The KDL film fest is screening 10 films, and is giving away $200 in prizes.  The KPL festival is screening 20(?) films, and is giving away an Apple Macbook (sweet!!!), in addition to other prizes.

The full version of my ArtPrize film is still in the works, but we're getting close!  Soon we'll be submitting it to film festivals, as well as lining up a screening in Grand Rapids.
